My works focus on the emotions triggered by memories with my mother and the way I view Hong Kong through a local lens. With a minimalistic visual language, I utilise installations and sculptures to express feelings of longing and re-interpret my mother’s singing in my own perspective. My works often comprise of sound, scent, and natural light source, in which I invite viewers to interact with my works by exploring their senses. To myself, art is a powerful vehicle beyond the capacity of words attempting to translate these complex feelings into raw simplicity.
