Rebe Wong (b. 1995) is a Hong Kong based Artist. She works with different art forms; including paintings, sculptures, print-making and film photography. Her works focus mainly on personal and cultural issues, including memories with her mother and the way she sees Hong Kong as a local artist. She also travels frequently in overseas and documents her experiences in film photography. Rebe is currently in her third year at Savannah College of Art and Design pursuing a BFA in Painting.

When people talk about Hong Kong, they think about the symphony of lights from the Victoria harbor, they mention about how beautiful the skyscraper view from The Peak looks. As a local, I would like to illustrate pictures of every day life in Hong Kong and show people what Hong Kong truly looks like, because images they had about Hong Kong is wrong. They are only tourist spots that are built for economic benefits. To me, it is the culture of Hong Kong that makes Hong Kong a unique place. It is the people and the livelihood in Hong Kong that makes Hong Kong “Hong Kong”.
